Meet "Max" and "DeeDee".
Max is an 8+ year-old male Australian that i purchased as a baby from Pete Weiss in 1999. Max has been the purest-looking male Aussie that i have been able to acquire in the US over the last 8 years. Max is huge! He's nearly 3 feet long and has a frill measuring over 12" across. I purchased 3 Aussies from Pete Weiss over that year (1999-2000). Max was the only one that grew to such a large size and was the only one to show earth-tone colorations. The others were smaller and appeared silver. Since 2000, I have purchased several 'silver' Aussies, and a few select 'red' Aussies,.. from the most reputable and respected breeders in the US (none of which are currently breeding frillies). Of all the supposed Aussies that i have purchased over the years, none have reached the enormous size of Max (or DeeDee). I have produced babies from silver-phase Aussie parents and from crossing silvers to New Guineas. While there are similarites amongst all the locales,...the babies from Max and DeeDee have appeared much different and could represent the purest Aussies produced in the US over the last 7 years.

DeeDee is 6+ year-old female that I got in 2005 from an acquisition in Germany. Without a doubt,... DeeDee is the purest-looking Australian frilly that i have seen in over 8 years of searching. DeeDee is an enormous female,...dwarfing the largest of my adult New Guinea males in girth,... and frill-size! She is over 26" long and her frill is about 9" across.

Both frillys are older specimens and have minor cosmetic flaws and frill damage that's normal for their age.
